SkyRC T120 Pico AC LiPo 2-4s 6A 2x60W Charger

The SkyRC T120 Pico is an AC charger with two fully independent charging circuits: two batteries of different chemistries can be charged at the same time, each with its own settings. Measuring 90 x 70 x 106 mm and weighing 355 g, it delivers 60 W per channel – 120 W of charging power in total – at up to 6 A charge current.

Both channels carry their XT60 output and balance socket on the front panel, so batteries are plugged in from the front. The charger handles LiPo, LiHV, Li-ion and LiFe with 2 to 4 cells, NiMH and NiCd with 6 to 8 cells and Pb batteries with 3 or 6 cells – the latter with an AGM mode and a cold charge mode for low temperatures alongside normal charging.

Precise control, down to every cell

Charging is governed by an Arm Cortex-M3 processor that keeps the selected values stable even under full load. Main output and balance port work together and monitor the voltage of every single cell throughout the charging process; balance current is 500 mA maximum.

Measure internal resistance on the charger

The Battery Meter function measures total pack voltage, individual cell voltages and internal resistance. During charging a press of the plus button is enough to scroll through the internal resistance of each cell – a quick way to judge the condition of a pack.

ColorX interface, six menu languages

The T120 Pico is operated through the ColorX interface with its light cyan and green colour scheme and responsive Web2.0 menu: plus, enter and minus buttons plus a dedicated channel button to switch between A and B. The menu language can be set to English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese or Japanese, with English as the factory setting. A temperature sensor adjusts fan speed to load and temperature, keeping the charger quiet at low currents. Firmware updates run over the USB-C port using the SkyRC Charger Master PC software.

Power supply mode for RC accessories

Each port can output an adjustable DC voltage of 6 to 17 V at 0.5 to 6 A. SkyRC explicitly intends this as a supplementary output for RC accessories such as a pit light, tyre warmer or tyre sander: capacitive loads such as chargers or power supplies must not be connected, and batteries are not to be charged in DC mode.
