SkyRC S65neo AC LiPo 2-4s 10A 65W Discharger 2A 10W

The SkyRC S65neo is an AC charger and discharger that fits in one hand at 84 x 84 x 45.3 mm and 200 g, yet delivers 65 W of charging power at up to 10 A charge current. It runs straight from the mains at 100 to 240 V, so no separate power supply is required.

It charges LiPo, LiHV, Li-ion and LiFe with 2 to 4 cells, NiMH and NiCd with 6 to 8 cells and Pb batteries with 3 or 6 cells (6 or 12 V). The pack connects to the XT60 main port, the balance lead to the balance port next to it, and a dedicated socket for the temperature sensor sits on the same side.

Ten amps from a housing this size

At up to 10 A of charge current a pack is ready again considerably sooner than on a 6 A charger. This is made possible by a synchronous rectification circuit that raises efficiency and reduces waste heat. Main output and balance port monitor every single cell while charging; balance current is 500 mA maximum.

Charge, discharge, cycle, store

Lithium packs can be run in Balance Charge, Charge, Storage and Discharge, NiMH and NiCd additionally in Re-Peak and the cycle programs Cycle_C_D and Cycle_D_C, which run one to three charge/discharge passes to refresh a pack. Pb batteries are charged normally, as AGM or in cold charge mode. Discharging runs at 0.1 to 2 A; because the balance port works alongside the main output, the charger reaches up to 10 W of discharge power.

Internal resistance and Battery Meter

The Battery Meter shows total pack voltage, individual cell voltages and internal resistance – useful for spotting a fading pack before it shows up in a race.

ColorX interface, six menu languages

The ColorX interface with its light cyan and green colour scheme and responsive Web2.0 menu is operated with three buttons. Menu languages are English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese, with English as the factory setting. A temperature sensor adjusts fan speed to load and temperature, and firmware updates run over the Type-C port using the SkyRC Charger Master PC software.

Power supply mode for RC accessories

The S65neo can output an adjustable DC voltage of 6 to 17 V at 0.5 to 9 A. SkyRC explicitly intends this as a supplementary output for RC accessories such as a pit light, tyre warmer or tyre sander: capacitive loads such as chargers or power supplies must not be connected, and batteries are not to be charged in DC mode.
