MCU-controlled power switch for RC models with LiPo low-voltage cut-off

The SkyRC POWER SWITCH is an MCU-controlled on/off switch for radio-controlled models. Its push button avoids the intermittent contact associated with a mechanical switch. The sealed plastic unit can be mounted on a transponder mount or with double-sided tape; two interchangeable bottom covers are included.

In LiPo mode, the switch detects low voltage and cuts off power to protect the battery from over-discharging. This mode can be turned off when other safeguards are in place or a NiMH/NiCad battery is used. The PWR LED indicates remaining battery capacity and battery condition.

With a NiMH/NiCad pack, press and hold the button for one second to switch on; the PWR LED lights up. With a LiPo pack, hold it for more than three seconds; the PWR and LIPO LEDs light up. In either mode, hold the button until all LEDs turn off to switch off.
