Description
The SkyRC LapWiz is a lap timing and performance system for RC racing. It combines IR timing, Shadow Run training, cloud ranking and performance analytics for practice and club racing.
IR sensors in the transponder and decoder detect laps at a range of 3–10 m without buried loop wires. The included aluminium stand can be positioned and adjusted for setup. A magnetic sun visor reduces sunlight interference and improves signal stability outdoors.
The app manages transponder IDs and driver profiles and organises multi-car races; racers join by scanning a QR code. Shadow Run lets racers compete against their personal best lap with real-time delta feedback. Multilingual voice prompts announce the fastest lap, final lap, position changes and race finish.
LapWiz operates without internet in Standalone Mode via Bluetooth. Live times and rankings can be displayed on a larger screen via AirPlay, Apple TV or Android casting. The system supports OTA updates. Two AA batteries provide up to 300 hours of runtime.
