SkyRC LapWiz Smart Lap Timing System

The SkyRC LapWiz is a smart lap timing and performance system for RC racers who want more than just lap counting. It combines precise IR timing, Shadow Run training, cloud ranking, and detailed performance analytics into one complete racing ecosystem û from daily practice to club racing.

High-sensitivity IR sensors in both the transponder and decoder deliver fast, reliable, and accurate lap detection with a range of 3-10 m. Since no buried loop wires are required, setup is effortless: simply place and adjust the included aluminum stand, and the race can begin. A magnetic sun visor reduces interfering sunlight and improves signal stability outdoors.

Through the app, you can manage transponder IDs, create driver profiles, and organize multi-car races. Racers join instantly with a single QR code scan. The Shadow Run feature lets you race against your personal best lap û with real-time delta feedback for greater consistency and pace. Multi-language voice prompts announce the fastest lap, final lap, position changes, and race finish.

LapWiz works fully in Standalone Mode without internet via Bluetooth. Via AirPlay, Apple TV, or Android casting, live times and rankings can be displayed on the big screen. Thanks to OTA updates, the system always stays up to date. Two AA batteries provide up to 300 hours of runtime.
