Description

The HoBao Hyper VS2 Truggy (VS2T) is a 1/8 scale electric truggy with four-wheel drive. The RTR version comes ready to run: ESC, brushless motor, steering servo and a 3-channel radio are on board, and the body is printed in black and green.

The waterproof Hobbywing 150 A ESC runs on 4S–6S LiPo, connects through a pair of XT90 connectors and has a cooling fan; a program card is included. The 2.4 GHz FHSS radio offers dual rate for steering and throttle.

The chassis in 3 mm hard-anodised 7075 aluminium carries a laser-engraved 2 mm aluminium top brace and 5 mm 7075 aluminium shock towers. For forward weight distribution the centre differential is positioned towards the front. The batteries can be laid out as a dual or single battery setup, with the single battery tray in the front, centre or rear. The tray takes shorty and standard-length packs; shorty packs slide fore and aft in it to fine-tune weight distribution and centre of gravity.

Notes

  • Also required: LiPo batteries with a pair of XT90 connectors, charger, AA batteries for the transmitter.
  • Motor mount: for motors below 50 mm diameter. The motor support fits 40 mm and 42 mm motors only; with a 40 mm motor fit the black plastic hoop first, with a 42 mm motor it is not needed. Motors above 42 mm are fitted without the motor support.
  • Optional pinion and ring gears: 13T/43T (87028, 85111) and 15T/40T (OP-0146, OP-0147). The 15T/40T setup puts more stress on the drivetrain and electronics; the related parts should be upgraded accordingly.
  • Option parts for chassis and drivetrain: carbon fibre centre top brace OP-0195, 7075 aluminium gearbox OP-0183, CNC aluminium differential case OP-0148, rear universal joint driveshafts 85212.
  • Option parts for suspension and wheels: shock pistons OP-0192, OP-0193, OP-0194; springs soft OP-0196/OP-0198, hard OP-0197/OP-0199; anti-roll bars OP-0110, OP-0111; titanium turnbuckles OP-0201, OP-0202; brass pivot balls OP-0191; aluminium steering blocks OP-0190; aluminium rear hubs 89147; carbon fibre arm inserts OP-0185, OP-0186, OP-0187.
  • Wheels also available in black (92009B), white (92009W) and yellow (92009Y).
