Glass-fibre-reinforced powder for mixing with cyanoacrylate adhesive

CA-Booster is a glass-fibre-reinforced polymer powder formulated for use with cyanoacrylate adhesive. When mixed with cyanoacrylate adhesive, it produces an adhesive with a consistency known from 2-component resins. The combination expands the range of applications and increases the adhesive's performance. The viscosity of the cyanoacrylate adhesive determines the working and curing time.

The mixture forms bonds with high adhesion, impact resistance and tensile strength, including across gaps, adhesive seams and material imperfections. Unlike 2-component adhesives, no precise mixing ratio is required; the ratio affects the working time and consistency.

Notes

• To use, put some cyanoacrylate adhesive in a mixing container and mix with approximately equal parts powder. A gelling process begins after a few minutes; promptly apply the gel to the clean, grease-free bonding area.
• With low-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive, the working time is approx. 5 minutes; it is longer with medium- and high-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive. A commercially available activator spray can accelerate curing.
• Can be worked after approx. 3–4 hours; full strength is reached after 24 hours.
